Hello all, I have tried in vain to transfer my benefits to my son because I was injured and medically retired and unable to qualify for the extra 4 year commitment that they need to make him eligbile....

Chief Angel, Unfortunately your statement is factually incorrect. You must be on active duty to transfer Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits to dependents and DOD oversees the rules for transferring, not the VA.
